AI Interview Copilot

A real-time coding assistant that reads your interview screen and delivers solutions — invisible to everyone except you.

What Is an AI Interview Copilot?

An AI interview copilot sits alongside you during a live coding interview, reading the problem from your screen and generating solutions in real time. Unlike study tools or practice platforms, a copilot works during the actual interview — it sees the exact problem, constraints, and starter code your interviewer presents.

The difference between a copilot and a prep tool is timing. Prep tools help you memorize patterns and practice. A copilot helps you execute when it counts. You still need to understand the solution well enough to explain it and answer follow-ups — the copilot handles the part where you blank on the optimal approach under pressure.

Real-Time vs Pre-Prepared

Some candidates try to pre-solve common problems and keep notes open during interviews. This breaks down quickly: interviewers modify problems, add constraints, or ask entirely custom questions. A static cheat sheet can't adapt.

Phantom Coder works in real time. Each time you press ⌘⇧S, it captures a fresh screenshot of your screen — including any new constraints the interviewer just added, code you've partially written, or error messages you're seeing. The AI responds to the current state of your interview, not a problem you anticipated.

You can also ask follow-up questions. If the interviewer says "now optimize it for space" or "what about this edge case?", capture the updated screen and the AI adjusts its answer. The conversation history carries forward so the AI understands the full context.

Works With Every Platform

Phantom Coder operates at the OS level — it captures your screen and displays results in a protected overlay. It doesn't inject into your browser or modify any web page. This means it works with every interview platform:

  • LeetCode — Online assessments and live coding sessions
  • HackerRank — Timed assessments and CodePair interviews
  • CoderPad — Collaborative coding sessions used by Meta, Stripe, and others
  • CodeSignal — General coding assessments and company-specific tests
  • Google Docs — System design interviews with shared documents
  • Any IDE or text editor — VS Code, IntelliJ, or a plain terminal

How the Copilot Stays Invisible

Phantom Coder uses macOS content protection — the same OS-level mechanism that prevents screen recording of DRM-protected video. When screen sharing is active on Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, or WebEx, the overlay window is excluded from the captured video feed by the operating system itself.

The app also hides from the dock, Activity Monitor, and Mission Control. There is no visible icon, no process name that suggests what it does, and no browser tab to accidentally share. Your interviewer sees your code editor and nothing else.

Choose Your AI Model

Phantom Coder supports multiple AI models so you can pick the one that works best for your interview type:

  • Flash models (1 credit) — Gemini Flash, GPT Mini, and Claude Haiku: fast answers for most algorithm problems
  • Pro models (5 credits) — Claude Opus, GPT-6 Astra, and Gemini Pro: stronger reasoning for hard multi-step problems and system design

$99/month or $499 for lifetime access. 40 credits per day — Flash queries and audio transcriptions cost 1 credit, Pro queries cost 5. All models included, custom system prompts. Cancel anytime.
